M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Management was established in 1995. It has created a niche for itself among the premier management institutes of India. It is a part of the Gokula Education Foundation (GEF) established in 1962, which under its banner has many reputed institutions in Engineering, Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Law, Super Speciality Hospital, School of Advanced Studies etc. The Institute is duly approved and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi. Computer Labs– As the world is progressing towards a technology driven revolution in every sphere, MSRIM believes that the best way to keep pace with it is by giving the students of the institute upgraded computer facility which consists of a large number of computers backed with latest software and internet connectivity.
Library MSRIM Library has a comprehensive collection of literature predominantly related to management and its allied subjects to meet the information needs of its users. Most of the library’s activities are computerized using “LIBSOFT”, an integrated library software package. Some of the major services rendered by the library are reference, circulation, current awareness information, reprographic, bibliographic, data search facilities, resource sharing with other libraries etc.
Industrial Visit– All the students visit manufacturing units / production units to understand the practical aspects of the work environment. The Institute also organizes outbound training activities which help the students to work in team environment. This builds greater character, mental toughness and helps them become better team players and ultimately better managers.
Live Projects– To ensure constant engagement for every student with the industry during their tenure of studies, all the students are provided with the opportunities to participate in live projects from the companies for a maximum period of 2 weeks every semester, mainly to assist with the basic functions of organizations like sales, customer service, market research etc.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (10 + 2 + 3) in any discipline with minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Indian or foreign university. Candidates in their final year of Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply (provided that aggregate up to the final year must be 50% or above), subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.
The Institute considers MAT / CAT / CMAT / ATMA / XAT / GMAT scores for admissions to its PGDM (equivalent to MBA) programme. Based on merit, candidates who qualify on various parameters (CAT/ MAT etc. scores, graduation scores) will be called for Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Written Test to be held at MSRIM Campus and possibly other cities in India.
The admission is based on the following parameters:
Previous Academic Performance – Candidates’ academic performance at undergraduate level, 12th and 10th levels will be reckoned for consideration for admission.
Written Test – Candidates will be given a situation to assess and give their response. Time allowed for the test will be for a maximum of 15 minutes.
Group Discussion – The group discussion is generally held for about 25 minutes in which a maximum of 10 candidates participate in each group and interact with each other on a given topic. The candidates are evaluated by a panel on their initiative, logical content, group behaviour, communication etc.
Personal Interview – It is a one to one interview between the candidate and a panel for about 10-15 minutes in which a candidate is evaluated on his personality, communication ability, functional knowledge, general awareness, orientation for management course etc.
During personal interview candidate may be asked about his/her background, strengths and weaknesses,career objectives, reasons for joining PGDM (equivalent to MBA) course, subjects studied at undergraduate.

- Mark List of Graduation (all years/ semesters)
- Score card of MAT / CAT / CMAT / ATMA / XAT / GMAT whichever applicable
- Work Experience certificate (if applicable)
- Two passport sized color photographs
- Graduate Degree equivalence from AIU for NRI Students
